The Vidalia Heritage Academy track & field team competed at the State Track Meet and had a good showing for the Eagles.

On the first day of the event, Lauren Cook took the State Title in the 100m hurdles, and placed 2nd in the long jump to lead the team. Ayden O’Neal came 5th in the Shot Put with a personal record. Brannen Brantley also had a personal record in the Shot Put as well. In the 800m run, Allegra Martinez had a personal record and finished 10th. Also in the Boys 800m, Liam Tipps had a personal record and finished 9th.

On the second day, Cook came back with a 3rd place in the 100m dash and a 4th in the 200m dash. With those finishes, combined with her day 1 totals she took home the High Point Award. Cook finished her career at Heritage with 11 State Championships On the second day, Dylan Green came in 2nd in the long jump, O'Neal finished 3rd in the discus, Gray McNeal was 4th in the discus, and Brantley was 8th in the discus.
