Your Mind

Got a complaint? Got a compliment? Call Your Mind On Line at 537-6397 and let us know what’s on your mind. Quotes are printed exactly as they are called in and are not necessarily factual, but rather, callers’ opinions. Libelous, slanderous, personal attacks, and unfounded accusatory or lengthy comments will not be printed. Two calls per week per caller, and calls should not exceed 30 seconds, please.

“Reading in The Advance about the race for Toombs County Coroner, Ron Hall is unable to complete the questionaire. My guess is he’s way too busy taking care of those who are suffering. Kyle Wilkes, his opponent, speaks of complaints that the coroner is not there when needed. Then Wilkes says that he wants to try to ‘be proactive in reducing the need for a coroner in cases where a life is taken.’ How will that work, Kyle?”

“For the people who are happy about Coach Korn, then you are that parent or that player. The one who is mad because Little Johnny had to sit to be disciplined or because someone was better than him and beat him out of the position. Vidalia lost a good one. Good luck to you, Coach Korn, and your family.”

“If anybody really thinks that the college mob cares about Palestine they would have a rally to collect money to send to Palestine instead of spending money on camping equipment then get on TV and beg for food and water that could be sent to Palestine.”

“It would be so nice if the city of Vidalia would cut the grass at Pine Crest Cemetery before Mother’s Day. You know there will be a lot of visitors at the cemetery for Mother’s Day. It looks like a hay field. Please cut the grass.”

“I don’t care about the candidate’s GPA from kindergarten. I want to know why she is suddenly a democrat when she was president of the republican party in Montgomery County.”

“ How many people would be willing to sign a petition to try to get Your Mind on Line shut down in our newspaper? We need to be building unity in our community and people should not be able to call and do negative remarks. We could start a petition where people would refuse to buy the newspaper unless Your Mind on Line got shut down.”
