Toombs County Soccer Association's Coach, Amanda Betsill, has been coaching with TCSA since 2018. In that time Coach Betsill has earned her National 'D' Coaching License from United States Soccer Federation. During her 'D' license course she was identified by Olympic Development Program (ODP) Director of Coaching Kostas Hatzikoutelis as a coach who could effectively coach at the ODP level.

On Saturday of last week, Coach Betsill attended her first ODP event with Coach Hatzikoutelis in Valdosta, where the Georgia State Soccer teams played in showcase matches against teams from Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina ODP. During the event, Coach Hatzikoutelis offered Coach Betsill a coaching position with GA Soccer ODP to coach the 2023 girls team beginning the fall season 2024, which Coach Betsill gladly accepted. Coach Betsill will still be able to coach TCSA teams in Fall 2024 and will take on this advanced coaching duty with the ODP team.

Head of TCSA, Fletcher Corbin said, “We at TCSA are excited for Coach Betsill and this great opportunity. We look forward to hearing of her successes, as well as her bringing back knowledge to assist the players and other coaches at TCSA.
