Wheeler County FCCLA Students Attend Fall Leadership Rally

Members of the Wheeler County High School Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) participated in Fall Leadership Rally held recently at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry.
Over 2,900 students and advisers from schools across Georgia participated in the leadership rally session and competed in events. The motivational rally was followed by the Peanut Recipe Contest sponsored by the Georgia Peanut Commission, and a Theme Speech and the Culinary Competition. Wheeler County student Layla Gibbs placed second in the Theme Speech Competition.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education. FCCLA has over 150,000 members and over 6,500 chapters from 50 state associations, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The organization has involved more than ten million youth since its founding in 1945.
