Pearce Set to Lead BPC Men’s Track & Field Program

Brewton-Parker College Men’s Track and Field has announced the addition of Sheldon Pearce to the coaching staff.

Pearce is set to take on the role as the Head Coach of the men’s program with the assistance of Assistant Coach James Frank. He comes to Mount Vernon, Georgia, after previously serving as the Head Coach and Physical Education Teacher at Appling County Schools.

“We are thrilled to add Coach Pearce to the Brewton- Parker family,” Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Adam Cokonougher said. “Sheldon brings a lot of experience to our staff, and we look forward to what he brings to the program.” continued from page

In addition to his time at Appling County, Pearce has made stops at Jeff Davis High School as well as had collegiate coaching experience at Howard Payne University (Texas) and East Carolina University (N.C.). Pearce brings a wealth of knowledge to Mount Vernon and has experience building World Champions, National Champions, and Conference Champions at his previous stops.

“I am excited to be a part of the Brewton-Parker family and look forward to helping place the program on the map,” Pearce said. “I have been committed to developing not only teams, but individuals to reach their maximum potential, and I hope to accomplish that here at Brewton-Parker.”
