The Toombs County High School Bulldogs soccer team faced off with Brantley County and Savannah Arts last week. The boys won both games, while the girls split their contests. vs. Brantley

On Tuesday, March 21, the Soccer Dogs played host to Brantley County in a Region matchup. The girls started the night off with an 8-0 win. Anyadi Colmenares scored 7 goals, and Estrella Barbosa added the other. continued from page

The boys won their contest 9-1, with Yovanny Zamorano scoring 4, Osvaldo Tinoco and Axcel Barbosa each scoring 2, and Gustavo Delgado adding 1. vs. Savannah

It was a tough night for the Lady Bulldogs against the Lady Panthers of Savannah Arts. Toombs fell behind early as Savannah put four goals on the board in the first half. Savannah added four more in the second half as they took the win, 8-0.

In the boys game it was a 0-0 tie at the end of the first half, but Toombs got to work in the second half and found the back of the net three times to get the 3-0 win.

The girls are 8-6-1 on the year and are 7-5 in the Region, and the boys are 10-5 on the year and are 7-5 in the Region. This week Toombs hosted Vidalia on Tuesday after presstime, and will host Appling County on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Next week is the final week of the regular season.
