TCHS Soccer Sweeps VHS

The Toombs County High School soccer teams faced off with rival Vidalia last week and swept the Indians on Friday, March 3. On Tuesday the Bulldogs swept the Pirates of Appling County. Then on Thursday of last week they took on Tattnall County, with the Bulldogs losing both games. vs. Vidalia

Toombs County varsity soccer teams sweep over Vidalia on March 3.

The girls won 8-0, with 2 goals each from Anyadi Colmenares, and Maritza Zamorano, and 1 goal each from Estrella Barbosa, Maggie Rodriguez, Danaka Robbins, and Aubrey Gay. Goalkeepers Madison Cruz and Laura Zamorano combined for the clean sheet.

The boys won a tough contest, 5-2, with 2 goals from Yovanny Zamorano, and 1 each from Gustavo Delgado, Braylen Dietrich, and Osvaldo Tinoco. vs. Appling

The Toombs County varsity soccer teams played Appling County on Tuesday.

The girls were tied 1-1 and went to overtime, then a penalty shootout, where the Lady Dawgs came out victorious.

The boys were able to take care of business and come home with a 5-1 win. vs. Tattnall

On Thursday the Toombs County varsity soccer teams travelled to Tattnall County for a set of critical Region matches.

The Lady Soccer Dawgs dropped their match 5-2, with goals scored by Emerson Powell and Anyadi Colmenares. The boys dropped their match 5-1. Yovanny Zamorano scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs.
