The Vidalia High School soccer team was in action last week against Windsor Forest and Tattnall County in a pair of Region matchups. The Lady Indians picked up the only win of the week as they defeated Windsor.

Girls vs. Windsor

It was the first match played on the new turf field at VHS, and the Lady Indians had a big first half as they pulled out to a 3-1 lead on the Lady Knights. VHS got goals from Aleah Ajohda, Gabby Royal, and Miya Howard. The defense was led by Zoey Alverez and Alexis Head.

Vidalia added another goal in the second half of the game on the way to a 4-2 win.

Boys vs. Windsor

The VHS boys were not able to put any goals on the board against the Knights. Windsor scored one goal in each half of the game to take the win, 2- 0.

Girls vs. Tattnall

It was all Warriors as Tattnall rolled to a win over the Lady Indians. Tattnall scored three first half goals and then added five more in the second half to take an 8-0 win over VHS.

Boys vs. Tattnall

It was a close first half for VHS as they were trailed just 2-1 at halftime to the Warriors of Tattnall. But in the second half VHS scored just one more goal, while Tattnall put six more in the back of the net. That gave the Warriors an 8-2 win over Vidalia.

This week VHS hosted Brantley County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Friday at Pierce County with the first game at 5:00 p.m.
