PARK OFFICIALLY OPENS — Several City of Alamo officials and community members were on hand Friday morning for the ribbon cutting and official opening of New Eastside Park in Alamo. The park offers picnic pavilions, grills, a playground, a basketball court and public restroom facilities. The park’s first function was hosting members of various Wheeler County High School graduating classes as they came home to celebrate the homecoming festivities at their alma mater. TC FFA RECEIVES CHECK — Ohoopee Soil and Water Conservation District presented Toombs County High School FFA Chapter a check for $750. This money will be used to purchase plants, soil tables and supplies, water hoses, and hand shovels.
