God’s Storehouse to Reopen

It has been a long summer, but God’s Storehouse is ready to reopen. Ms. Tina says that it’s been one of the longest summers of her life.

God’s Storehouse is located at 2200 Center Drive, Vidalia. It is on the property next to New Life Church. The phone number remains the same, (912) 538-1730. They will officially be open again on September 6, at 9:00 a.m., as they have their first Bible Study in the new facility, along with a meal to follow. They will be open Tuesday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Anyone is free stop by to get clothes or to qualify for food. The food days will remain the same as they were in the past. They ask that recipients make the proper arrangements to pick up food on their day. Call Tina with questions. For anyone who can’t get to the Storehouse for Bible Studies or to pick up food, first, if they need transportation, the God’s Storehouse van will come by the Dollar General parking lot on McIntosh Street every morning at 9:00 a.m. Second, for those who cannot make it to pick up food, call Pastor Tina and she will have it delivered.

There will not be a Thanksgiving meal this year, but they look forward to doing it again next year. Ms. Tina says, “There are also some new things coming as we listen to God and go forward.”

Ms. Tina said that some donations had stopped because a lot of people weren’t sure what to do with them, but it’s time to gear back up. The mailing address is the same as it was, God’s Storehouse, P.O. Box 1214, Vidalia, GA 30475.Donations of clothes can be dropped off at the new location and left on the front porch.

Pastor Tina says that she would not have been able to do it without the help and encouragement of Betty Poole, who is her right-hand lady. Also, she’d like to give a shout out of praise to all the ones who were faithful to help her on a day-to-day basis. They include, along with Betty, Bob Smith, John Sprangel and David Eubanks. Billy Harvey also lent a hand with the electrical work. There were a lot of others, who would come when they could, including Linda Hilton, who continually covered them with prayer.

Pastor Tina said, “It’s time to get back to work. It’s time to see everyone again and reunite relationships. It’s time!”
