Steele Named to 2021-22 SSAC Men’s Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team

Brewton-Parker College Men’s Track and Field student-athlete Simon Steele has been named to the Southern States Athlete Conference Men’s Track and Field Scholar-Athlete Team presented by Barnes & Noble College, conference officials announced on Monday.

Steele is listed along with seven other studentathletes from across the conference who earned the honor. The junior from Hinesville, Ga., earned the honor with a 3.68 GPA at the time of submission and was also a member of the All-Academic Team earlier this season.

To be eligible, student- athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, and have competed in 50% of competitions. Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school.
