McBride Heading To Emmanuel

On Thursday of last week Robert Toombs Christian Academy's MK McBride signed his letter of intent to play basketball for Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA.

McBride was a key part of the Crusaders basketball team as he helped lead his team to two State Runner-up finishes. He scored over 2,400 points in his career, and McBride was the four-time Region Player of Year and a fourtime GISA All State Team player.

McBride said, “I am feeling good to be able to finally sign. I am excited to have this opportunity to continue my education, but to also keep playing a game I love. I want to thank God, my family, and the coaching staff for helping me get to this point. Emmanuel is a small Christian school just like RTCA and, that really made it feel like home to me. It is also nice that Tyler is coming as well. We have known each other since we were kids, and it will be great to have him there with me.” Key McBride (mother) stated, “We are so proud of him. He has worked hard on and off the court, and he is just a fantastic kid. The Coach at Emmanuel was honest and MK really liked him. After he went and visited, it just felt like the best place for him. We can't wait to see him take these next steps.” Head Coach Adam Callaway added, “He has worked hard since he was five years old. He has been such an important part of our team. He scored over 2,400 points over his high school career, which is unheard of. It is great for Emmanuel to get both MK and Tyler, and it is great for both of them to get to continue to play together.”
