Griffin Signs With Tigers

Toombs County High School's Ziahya Griffin signed her letter of intent to play softball for the Tigers of Savannah State University.

Griffin said, “I chose Savannah State cause I was looking for a place close to home. I really felt like I fit in well down there. I just want to thank my family for supporting me, and of course I want to thank my coaches and teammates.”

Dedrick Griffin (father) said, “It has been a long time coming. She has put in the work, and she is going to take it to the next level. We are very proud of her and look forward to seeing her play for the Tiger Nation.”

TCHS Head Coach Hayne Brant added, “She has been a four-year starter for us and has really turned it on the past couple of years. She is going to be missed here, but Savannah State is getting a good one. She was a leader for us and has set an example for our program.”
