Gator Creek Young Guns Win Big at SCTP SE Regional Shoot

The Gator Creek Young Guns traveled to Forest City Gun Club in Savannah, GA in April to participate in the SCTP SE Regional Shoot. Teams from all over the southeast United States come together to compete for the recognition of being the best in the southeast. The team participated in skeet, trap, sporting clays and super sporting events that weekend. Two Gator Creek teams placed HOA among the team divisions The team received several awards that were ranked High Over All (HOA) at the competition top 3 positions (HOA is figured by combining scores for all events). Bradlan McDonald placed 1st in Men HOA, Cheyenne Anderson placed 2nd in Ladies HOA and Wyatt Hargrove placed 2nd in Collegiate HOA. The Young Guns as a Team (Bradlan McDonald, Brendan Riggins, Miles Hendrix, Aidan Singleton, Cheyenne Anderson, Bishop Lampp, Joey Todd) placed 3rd overall in HOA for the entire event among all other teams. The team also received several team awards. The team members participate in different categories depending on their school grade level and we had several teams that had some of the highest combined scores in all events among all of the southeast teams. The Intermediate Entry Level Team (Walker Spivey, Lily Cauley, Bo Bates) placed 3rd as a team in Skeet, 2nd place in Trap, and 3rd in Sporting Clays. The Intermediate Entry Level Team (Jameson Googe, Lily Cauley, Addison Peebles) placed 2nd in Super Sporting. The Collegiate Team (Landon De-Loach, Dayne Cadwell and Wyatt Hargrove) placed 3rd in Skeet, 2nd in Sporting Clays and 1st in Super Sporting. The Sr Varsity Team (Bradlan McDonald, Cheyenne Anderson, Miles Hendrix) placed 3rd in Sporting Clays. The Sr Varsity Team (Bradlan Mc-Donald, Cheyenne Anderson and Jay Lewis) placed 2nd in Super Sporting.

There were also several individual awards at the competition. Brendan Riggins, who competes in Intermediate Advanced, placed 3rd in Skeet, 1st in Trap, and 2nd in Sporting Clays. Bradlan McDonald, who competes in Sr Varsity Men, placed 1st in Skeet, 1st in Sporting Clays, and 1st in Super Sporting. Morgan Rae Walker, who competes in Rookie, placed 1st in Skeet, 3rd in Trap, 1st in Sporting Clays and 2nd in Super Sporting. Cheyenne Anderson, who completes in Varsity Ladies, placed 2nd in Super Sporting, 2nd in Sporting Clays and 1st in Trap. Bo Bates, who competes in Intermediate Entry, placed 3rd in Trap. Wyatt Hargrove, who competes in Collegiate, placed 2nd in Trap and 1st in Super Sporting. Lily Cauley, who competes in Intermediate Entry Ladies, placed 2nd in Trap.

There will be a benefit shoot at Gator Creek Sporting Clays, which is located on Shooting Clay Road in Alamo, on May 28 to help offset the costs with competitions for these kids. Come out and show your support for this great group of kids. The team would also like to thank their coaches and parents for their hard work and dedication to the sport.
