LRD Holding Signups
The Lyons Recreation Department is holding signups for Spring Sports through February 4. The cost per participant is $45, and the office at Partin Park is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Players registering on or after late registration may be placed on a waiting list and placed according to availability. Online registration available at www. lyonsga.org/recreationdepartment. aspx, then click on “register for a recreation sport or activity.” LRD has changed to new software, so you will likely have to create a new account. You may call the office if you are having difficulties logging into your account. Online registrants, please call the office for evaluation night and time.
Several leagues will be played this season, all with a boys and girls side. Teeball will start at 4-yearsold. Teeball and coach pitch is for ages 5-6. There is an 8U for ages 7-8, 10U for ages 9-10, 12U for ages 11-12, and a 14U for ages 13-14. The age control date is September 1, 2022. Evaluations will be held February 14, 15, and 17.
LRD is also looking for volunteer coaches. A mandatory meeting for all prospective coaches will be held on Tuesday, February 8, at 6:00 p.m. in the dream house. LRD needs your help to operate the Spring sports programs. Please come by the office or call at (912) 526-3084 to let them know that you would like to coach.
