Drug Take Back Day October 23

The Toombs County Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery consortium is participating in the National DEA Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 23. This bi-annual event provides a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications. Unused and expired medications (no liquids or needles) can be discarded at the Vidalia Police Department’s prescription drug drop box. The drive-through event will take place at the Vidalia Municipal Annex (302 East First Street) from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
