and siblings, Betty Ware Bivins and James Archibald McCallum.

His family includes his life partner, Phyllis Rowland of Franklin; 1 brother-inlaw, Sonny Bivins of Nashville, TN; and several nieces, Mr. James Ware McCallum, Jr., age 79, of Franklin, NC, died on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Angel Medical Center in Franklin, NC, after a brief battle with Covid. nephews and cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, October 2, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Don Moye officiating.

The family will receive friends at Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 7:00.

Mr. McCallum was a native of Montgomery County, a 1960 graduate of Montgomery County High School and served in the Army National Guard. He lived in North Augusta, SC, and in South Georgia most of his life. He was the owner of McCallum Landscape in North Augusta before moving to Franklin, NC, in 2005. He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Franklin. He was preceded in death by his son, Jay Mc-Callum; his parents, James Ware McCallum, Sr., and Mauren Meadows McCallum; org/en/giving.
