Vidalia High School TSA Leaders Attend Officers Retreat

Vidalia High School TSA Leaders Attend Officers Retreat Vidalia High School TSA Leaders Attend Officers Retreat

On September 17 through 19, Vidalia High School Technology Student Association leaders attended GA TSA CORE (Chapter Officer Retreat for Excellence) in Clayton, along with approximately 400 other students from across Georgia. CORE is designed to help the leaders recognize their roles for the club and find ways to help build the programs. Leaders also found ways to help improve teamwork and create a Program of Work for the club. Some of the extra activities included CORE Olympics, tennis, soccer, and the students hiked a small trail to visit a waterfall. CORE is also the first student event of the school year for any of the CTAE [Career, Technical and Agricultural Education] clubs.

GA TSA took extra precautions for CORE to help prevent a super spreader situation by having the clubs work in Cohorts (to minimize interaction between all the clubs), staggering lunchtimes, providing masks and sanitizer, and providing adequate space between the cohort teams.

Any student interested in joining Vidalia High TSA to participate in some of the remaining events should contact Mr. Head at the high school.
