MCHS Over Dooly

It was another big win for the Eagles football team of Montgomery County High School last Friday night at the Bobcats of Dooly County. The win moves them to 3-0 on the season and pushes them to the #15 spot in the state rankings. The Eagles put two touchdowns on the board in the first quarter of the game to take a 12-0 lead. The Bobcats picked up a touchdown to close that lead to 12-7, but with less than two minutes to go in the first half Bo Davidson found Brandon Denmark for a touchdown pass. They tacked on the extra point to go ahead 19-7 on the Bobcats. Neither team scored in the third quarter of the game. In the fourth, though, the Eagles pulled away. The first score came on a passing touchdown early in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 25-7. MCHS scored one more time on a run by Cameron Wallace with around eight minutes left in the game. With the PAT the score was 32-7.

MCHS kept the Bobcats out of the end zone over the rest of the game to take the win, 32-7.

Davidson had 109 yards passing with two touchdowns with Wallace throwing for 65 yards and he rushed for 138 yards and a score. Samari Madison had 75 receiving yards in the game.

This week Montgomery will be back at home as they host the Red Devils of Hawkinsville with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
