Team Vidalia Competes At Kupets Meet Team Vidalia Competes At Kupets Meet

Vidalia Gymnastics and Cheer’s competitive gymnasts of “Team Vidalia competed among 2,000 gymnasts from throughout the country at the 2021 Annual Courtney Kupets meet in Savannah. Held at the Savannah Convention Center, the event was started 10 years ago, and a percentage of profits goes to benefit the Coastal Susan G. Komen for the Cure raising over $100,000 for Breast Cancer. Team Vidalia competing gymnasts and results on All-Around were: AAU Level 1: Cohen Johnson (37.25); Kinsley Park (37.20); Natalie Harris (37.20); EmmaKate Linsdsey (36.95)Kenley Hurley (36.675); Emma Grooms (36.525); Ella Grooms (36.325); Blakelee Stokes (36.30); Laney Martin (36.225); Emma Bell (35.35); Heidi Grace Miles (34.95); Bailey Brown (34.825); Kenlee Bryant (34.65); and Blythe Kirby (32.20). AAU Level 2: Ellie Grace Wall (37.925); Annison Hightower (37.25); Maycee Guin (36.375); Calleigh Bell (35.075); and Ansley Williams (35.00). AAU Level 3: Katie Lee Brodnax (35.3) and Chloe Beck (34.80). AAU Level 4: Teagan Allen (36.60); Zoey Fields (34.90) and Gabby Betsill (32.925). And AAU Level 5: Lynzie Dasher (34.775) and Maggie Mitchell (33.75). Team Vidalia’s AAU Level 4 Team brought home the first place team banner.

“Kupets is one of the biggest meets in the country and it’s always fun to see how our girls measure up” said, Coach Courtney Allen; she continued, “And, as always, our girls made us proud!”

Coach and gym owner, Robin Nance added, “With our Team gymnasts aging from five to thirteen, it’s fulfilling to watch them grown and develop throughout the year. Not only in skills and scores, but in confidence and maturity. Some of our girls have been with us for 6 years and to play a part in their childhood is both humbling and rewarding.”

The gymnasts of Team Vidalia will continue to train and compete is several other competitions throughout the state, qualifying and preparing for the upcoming Georgia AAU State and National Championships.
