TCHS Volleyball Splits Games

The Toombs County High School volleyball team took on McIntosh County Academy and Vidalia on Tuesday of last week, and then on Thursday they went up against Dublin and Appling County. The Lady Bulldogs picked up the win over McIntosh. They won the first game 25-18, but lost the second 25-22 to force a third. In that third game the Bulldogs got the win 15-8 to take the match win, 2-1.

In their second match of the day they fell to rival Vidalia 2-0. TCHS lost the first game 25-17, and fell in the second game 25-16.

On Thursday Toombs had no problems against Dublin as they won the first game 25-4 and picked up the win in the second gam 25-17. Toombs lost a close first game to Appling 26-24, and then fell in the second game 25-20 as Appling got the match win, 2-0. Toombs is 6-4 overall right now and 3-2 in Area play. This week they played Dublin on Tuesday after presstime, and will be back in action on Thursday against Wayne County and Tattnall County at home.
