Collins Recognized as SE Region WBL  Coordinator of the Year Collins Recognized as SE Region WBL  Coordinator of the Year

During the Georgia Association for Career & Technical Education (GACTE) Summer Virtual Conference, Donna Collins, Southeastern Early College and Career Academy’s (SECCA) Workbased Learning (WBL) Coordinator, was recognized as the Southeast Region Workbased Learning Coordinator of the Year. Collins was nominated by Eric McDonald, Assistant Principal and Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Director at Vidalia High School. McDonald stated, 'Mrs. Collins goes above and beyond her job requirements. She is dedicated to developing and maintaining a first class program that benefits not only our school and community, but her main focus which is the love for students.' Logan Lawrence, past student and 2017 GA Youth Apprenticeship Student of the Year, also contributed to the nomination process. In his letter, Lawrence thanked Collins for her guidance and support while he was in the Vidalia High School WBL program.

Collins serves WBL students from Treutlen High School and Vidalia High School. In addition to local responsibilities, Collins also serves on the WBL State Board as a Region Chair and is the Georgia WBL Website Manager.
