TELFAIR COUNTY JOB OPPORTUNITY Deputy County Clerk/Administrative Assistant (Part-Time) Routinely provides financial/administrative support for the Telfair County Board of Commissioners and also performs a variety of highly responsible, confidential, complex financial, administrative and clerical duties in support of the BOC administrative office. Successful candidates must have the ability to pass preemployment background and drug and alcohol testing. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and processes and county accounts payable processes. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Knowledge of administrative and record retention practices, policies and procedures. Skill in oral and written communication. Minimum qualifications include: more than three years of related experience required; level of competency commonly associated with the field of work, in addition to skills typically associated with completion of a high school degree or equivalent; and experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in county government in order to coordinate with the various county departments.
