Comparable experience in related activities within the private sector may be considered. Direct experience in municipal or county public works operations is expected. Ensure proper staffing levels in the public works departments, as authorized by the Mayor and City Council. Maintain direct communication with the Mayor to ensure that directives from elected officials are implemented effectively. Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal, State, and local regulations and guidelines governing department operations.
