PERSONAL DIFFERENCES BY GARY TOOLE When I was coming up back in the good old days folks never used that term, “Personal differences,” much. It was either right or wrong, good or bad, yes or no! Majority ruled! Right! Nowadays, I hear that term used quite often even in the church, “Personal differences.” A worldly comparative saying is, “Different strokes for different folks,” plainly meaning, “Do what you want, how you want, when you want. Right or wrong! It’s a personal preference. Just a personal difference.” Folks, a personal difference is what color you like best. Blue or red or green. But when it comes to the church and reverence and respect for God’s house, we must not compromise our standards by writing things that are wrong off just as personal differences. The bible made it clear, “God never changes His standards and rules. He is the same yesterday, today and forever more.” Just because we change and say, “Oh it’s just a personal difference,” don’t change the price of eggs in China as grandma use tosay. Inotherwords when it comes to right and wrong, good and bad in the Lord’s work there are no personal differences. It is thus saith the Lord! Can you say amen? PD. ADV.
