PUBLIC NOTICE FOR LOGIC AND ACCURACY TESTING Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment to be used in the November 4, 2025, Special Election- Public Service Commissioner will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, and continue until completed. The testing will be at the Montgomery County Government Annex Building, 251 S. Richardson Street, Mount Vernon, GA. The test procedure is open to the public. The Special Election on November 4, 2025, will be held in all precincts within the county (Mt. Vernon, Higgston, and Uvalda) for this election unlike the prior runoff election in July. The hours for each polling precinct will be 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on election day. Advance in Person voting will begin on October 14, 2025, and will end on October 31, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day. There will also be two Saturdays in which the polls will be open for voting and that will be Saturday, October 18 and 25, and the hours will be 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day. NEW K-9 UNIT – Thanks to donations from the community, the Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office now has a new K-9 Unit to help patrol the area, as K-9 Deputy Blue and Corporal Mark Murray recently graduated from the Narcotic Detection and Tracking certification program.
