NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION CITY OF VIDALIA Notice is hereby given that a Special Election shall be held on June 17, 2025, in City of Vidalia, Toombs County, to fill a vacancy in Ward 3 of the Vidalia City Council. Qualifying for the special election shall be held at the Toombs County Board of Elections and Registration Office at 100 Courthouse Square, Lyons, Georgia 31436. The dates and hours of qualifying will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m., and Friday, April 25, 2025, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. The qualifying fee shall be $162.00. Monday, May 19, 2025, is the last day to register to vote for all persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to vote in the Special Election. Advance in-person absentee voting will begin on May 27, 2025.
