NOTICE: SEEKING QUALIFIED CANDIDATES TO SERVE ON MONTGOMERY COUNTY BOARD OF TAX ASSESSORS The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill an unexpired term on the Montgomery County Board of Tax Assessors. All seats are at-large. Candidates will be considered for one board seat. Board seat one shall have a term expiration date of January 1, 2028 and Board seat four shall have a term expiration date of January 1, 2029. The qualifications for members to serve on the Montgomery County Board of Tax Assessors are set forth in O.C.G.A. § 48-5-291 (a) Interested candidates may pick up an application and criminal history release form at the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners’ Office located at 310 West Broad Steet, Mount Vernon, Georgia or you may download a board application at www.montcoga.gov. Click on “Board Appointment Application” and “Criminal History Release Form.” Applications may be dropped off in person at the Board of Commissioners’ Office or mailed to: Montgomery County BOC, PO Box 295, Mount Vernon, GA 30445.
