Mr. David Meyer

Mr. David J. Meyer, age 57, died on Monday, October 20, 2025, in Vidalia, of natural causes.

Mr. Meyer was born in Oklahoma City, OK. He was adopted at 11 days old, to Roger and Ellen Meyer. He attended Southeast of Saline (SES) and graduated in 1987. He attended Highland Community College, Trinity College in Deerfield, IL, and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He served in the United States Army as a medic for 6 years. Post Military service, he worked as an orthopedic rep, then took a position with an orthopedic surgeon. He began a career as a traveling operating room technician. This work took him from the east coast to west coast, Hawaii, and many hospital assignments in between. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger; grandparents, Eldon and Luella Lyman, Grace and Kermit Meyer; uncle, Harold Meyer; aunt Leora; and uncle, Cecil Steffen.

He is survived by his mother, Ellen; sister, Kristin Meyer; nephew, Dawson Wallick; niece, Grace Moshier; uncle, John and Fran Meyer; special friends from the military, Ed Lopez, Dave and Charolette Gadomski, Bill Caballero; and 2 rottweilers who loved to have him visit.
