WINTER WEATHER HAS ARRIVED – Arctic chills and a light snow dusting hit the area on Sunday, January 19, as Montgomery, Toombs, Treutlen, and Wheeler County saw flurries fall throughout the region. Although the snow did not stick as much in other counties, Treutlen County saw the most flurries fall and gather on the ground, making Sunday an exciting morning. COMMUNITY EFFORT – The goal of Keep It Clean Vidalia is to have a clean uncluttered community free of litter. Over 75 Keep It Clean volunteers gathered 11 discarded tires and filled 114 bags of trash in 5 areas of the City of Vidalia in just one hour this past Saturday.
