Quotes for our Times:
Kevin McCullough, nationally syndicated radio host and author: When process fails justice.
The newly revealed FBI and DOJ emails surrounding the Mar-a-Lago raid don’t merely raise questions — they answer them. They confirm what President Trump and his administration argued from the beginning: this was not a law-driven action that reluctantly proceeded; it was a politically pressured decision that advanced despite internal doubts about probable cause. That distinction matters. Immensely.
The Trump administration’s objection to the raid was never simply about President Trump as an individual. It was about whether the most coercive power of the federal government was being used in a manner consistent with constitutional safeguards. The emails now show that experienced FBI officials themselves questioned whether the legal threshold required by the Fourth Amendment had been met. That alone should have stopped the process cold.
Byron York, chief political correspondent for The Washington Examiner: Are democrats getting desperate about Epstein?
But remember that back in July, Glenn Kessler, who was the Washington Post's fact-checker and who went through the voluminous public information on the Epstein case, wrote, 'No credible allegation has emerged to connect Trump to any of Epstein's crimes. If the full [Epstein] file is ever released, we are confident that no connection would be found.'
So far, that is turning out to be correct. No, it's not guaranteed. Maybe it will change. Maybe there will be some future discovery that will give Democrats the incriminating evidence they so desperately want. But it doesn't seem likely. And until then, Democrats appear to be happy to make things up.
Matt Vespa, Senior Editor at Townhall. com: What John Fetterman said to Chris Cuomo is going to trigger another dem meltdown.
John is going to trigger another meltdown on the Left. This is fantastic. The controversy over Operation Southern Spear, the aerial campaign on narco boats and terrorists, has pitted Democrats on the wrong side of another 80/20 issue. This isn’t a war crime. It’s a national security priority. The Democrats would want to have us cry over these people, whom they claim are fishermen or “struggling survivors.” The new outrage is a narco boat that was struck twice, with initial reports that the second strike was ordered to wipe out the remaining crew. No, the crew was trying to radio for help. But, please, Democrats, treat this like the My Lai Massacre.
You know this campaign was overwhelmingly supported, right? Also, stop it, Chuck. It didn’t turn your stomach.
