Vidalia High School Tennis To Host Youth Summer Camp
The Vidalia High School tennis program is preparing to host its 2026 Youth Tennis Camp, offering local kids a chance to get on the courts, learn the game, and build some early skills. The four-day instructional camp will run from June 15 through June 18 at the Vidalia High School Tennis Courts.
Under the direction of Coach Wade McLeod, the camp is open to youths ages 8 to 14. Sessions will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. each morning. The coaching staff will focus on teaching the fundamentals of the sport through various drills and games, giving young athletes a solid foundation while getting them familiar with the high school program.
Registration is currently open at a cost of $60 per camper, along with a $4 processing fee, which includes a camp T-shirt. Participants should arrive ready to work in standard athletic attire, including shorts, a T-shirt, and tennis shoes. Campers also need to bring a water bottle to ensure they stay hydrated during the morning workouts.
While the first part of the morning will be spent working on forehands and footwork, the team has planned a great way to beat the mid-June heat. Each daily session will wrap up with a slip and slide, making a towel a required piece of equipment for all attendees.
Parents can secure a spot and submit payment online at gofan.co/ event/6619126?schoolId=GA11902. For any further details regarding the camp, Coach McLeod can be reached directly at 912-246-4041 or via email at wmcleod@vidalia-city.k12.ga.us.
