“Partin Park needs to post signs stating no balls can be thrown in this area. When parents and kids have to be on alert all the time because kids are playing catch right behind their chairs. There should be designated areas where people can sit safely and no balls to be thrown in that area.”

“We would like to thank all of the people who work on the Keep Vidalia Clean. This is a volunteer group. If you see trash that needs to be picked up, you are welcome to volunteer to help out. We saw on Your Mind on Line that a big pile should have been picked up already. Pitch in, help us, and you help pick it up.”

“While our country is turned upside down, very polarized, that has not dented Vidalia’s can-do mentality. For the last few months, I have seen our city come together on the Keep Vidalia Clean project. I have participated in a couple of the 1-hour Saturday gatherings, and I’ve seen smiling faces, young, old black, white, rich, poor, democrats, republicans, working as one. I’m here to tell you our city is cleaner. All the other stuff on the news doesn’t matter.”

“Over 150 other nations offer universal health care for all of their citizens. The United States is not in that group and our quality ranks below average compared to the rest of the world. We have plenty of money for stupid wars and bombs, but we cannot find the money to provide health care for our citizens.”

“Words to the wise: candidates for governor who are likening themselves to the current president, Georgia is not the federal government. This state has a long history of greatness due to the fiscally conservative visionary leadership of former governors, Joe Frank Harris, Jimmy Carter, Zell Miller, Sonny Purdue, Brian Kemp, to name a few. Learn from their governance and keep Georgia great.”
