The Montgomery County 4-H Club led the community on a fun scavenger hunt recently, as they hosted their annual Community Easter Egg Hunt.
Each year, the Montgomery County 4-H Club staff hides 25 painted wooden Easter Eggs throughout Mount Vernon for community members to find. The first four people or groups to submit a list of at least 24 of the eggs’ locations and pictures of their discovery of the eggs win a prize from the 4-H office. This year’s winners were Blake and Charles Berner, Ayla and Evan Hardeman, Mallory Sharpe, and Bradden and Blakely Woods.
“We want to thank the city of Mount Vernon for furnishing supplies and to Hoppy Sikes for always bringing our projects to life. This is a fun way to get everyone to explore our community, and we enjoy seeing everyone search to find all the eggs each year,” Montgomery County 4-H Program Assistant Julie Waller remarked.
