I Love Blueberries

Treutlen County Farm Bureau agent Ron Blaxton and Will Nesmith, Altamaha EMC Communications Specialist, presented a copy of the children’s book “I Love Blueberries,” written by Shannon Anderson, to the Treutlen County Library. Jeannie Rogers, library Branch Manager, said, 'The Treutlen County Library is appreciative of this new addition to our children’s section. We are sure that children will enjoy reading it. Be sure and visit your local library, wherever you are located. You can always find something there to enjoy.'
Beautifully illustrated by Jaclyn Sinquett, this book is filled with engaging facts about blueberries, hydroponics, a cultivation method that grows plants in water, poetry, and a heartwarming theme of friendship. Young readers will learn how two classmates create a plan and work together to not only grow blueberries but also develop a new friendship.
The donation was made on behalf of The Georgia Foundation for Agriculture in partnership with Georgia Electric Membership Corporation, and Treutlen County Library.
