MoCo Library Hosts Coloring Contest

Kids are invited to pick up a coloring sheet and show off their creativity during the Spring Coloring Contest this month.
Children, ages 4 through 13, can pick up their coloring sheet at the library to take home and decorate before returning the sheet to the library. Submissions for the contest will be accepted until March 28. Only crayons, markers, and colored pencils can be used to color the entry.
On March 30, photos of the coloring sheets will be posted on the library’s Facebook page – “Montgomery County Public Library Mount Vernon, Georgia” – so that individuals may vote on their favorite designs through “liking” the photo; comments will not be counted as votes. Voting will close and the winners will be announced at the closure of the library on April 2.
All entries will also be displayed at the library. Kids earning first, second, or third place will receive a prize.
The library, located at 215 S. Railroad Avenue in Mount Vernon, is open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday; the facility is closed on Friday and Sunday. For more information, call (912) 583-2780.
