VHA Eagles Open Season

The Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles baseball team kicked off their 2026 campaign on February 7 with a home doubleheader against the Jaguars of the Savannah Athletic Association.

The Eagles split the opening series before returning to action last Thursday at home against Crisp Academy, where they secured a decisive victory. vs. Savannah – Game 1

In the opening game against Savannah, VHA took control early. They picked up a run in the bottom of the first inning and added single runs in both the third and fourth innings to build a 3-0 lead.

The offense continued to produce late in the game, plating three more runs in the fifth and another in the sixth to push the advantage to 7-0.

Savannah managed to get on the board in the top of the seventh inning but was held to a single run. Heritage closed out the game with a solid 7-1 victory. vs. Savannah – Game 2

The second game of the doubleheader saw a complete reversal of fortune as Savannah rolled to a run-rule victory. The Jaguars jumped out to a fast start, scoring seven runs in the top of the first inning.

They added three runs in the second and two in the third to hold a commanding 12-0 lead.

VHA managed to score a run in the bottom of the third to make it 121, but Savannah responded with eight runs in the fourth inning to end the game at 20-1. vs. Crisp Academy

VHA bounced back strongly in their matchup against Crisp Academy on Thursday. Heritage wasted no time, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the first inning to take an early lead.

The offense kept the pressure on, adding five runs in the second and three in the third. The offensive explosion resulted in a 15-0 run-rule victory for the Eagles.

Heritage will have this week off to prepare for their next challenge. They will be back in action next Monday when they host Frederica Academy.
