“Spay”ghetti

Dinner

Tickets are currently on sale for the 18th annual “Spay”ghetti Dinner, which raises funds for the Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society (SOAPS). Tickets for the dinner are $15 each, and may be purchased at Altamaha Animal Clinic, Kilgore Animal Hospital, and Vidalia Veterinary Clinic. Dinners may be picked up through the drive through at the Vidalia Community Center, located at 100 Vidalia Sweet Onion Drive, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24.

Chili Cookoff

Registration

The Montgomery County Public Library, located at 215 Railroad Avenue in Mount Vernon, is hosting a Chili Cookoff at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28.

Prizes will be awarded for top three placements.

Cornhole, crafts, and bubbles will be available for attendees. To register, call the Library at (912) 583-2780.

Color Walk

The Altamaha Down Syndrome Society will host a Color Walk to promote acceptance and inclusion at 11 a.m. at the grassy area beside the Montgomery County Courthouse in Mount Vernon on Saturday, March 21. After the walk, a small festival will be held and will feature vendors, kids activities, and more.
