Bulldogs Dominate Season Opener

The Wheeler County High School Bulldogs baseball team opened their season in spectacular fashion last week, securing a decisive win over the Twiggs County Cobras at home on Thursday. Wheeler ran away with the game early, plating 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take immediate control.

The Bulldogs continued to add to their lead, scoring one run in the second inning and three more in the third. The offensive surge allowed Wheeler to take the win by the run rule with a final score of 16-0.

This week, Wheeler hosted the Red Devils of Hawkinsville on Tuesday, though results were unavailable at presstime. The Bulldogs will face the Red Devils again on the road this Friday at 5:30 p.m.
