GBI Arrests Vidalia Man for Brother’s Murder

Last week, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation arrested a Vidalia man on charges related to the murder of his brother.
First responders were paged to the 400 block of 2nd Street in the Stillmore community of Twin City at around 10 a.m. on Monday, January 26, where they found LaCorey White, 35, of Twin City, had been shot. The Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance with the case from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which deemed LaCorey’s brother – LaMarkius Tiwuan White, 44, of Vidalia – as the suspect in the case. They determined that LaMarkius had shot his brother during an argument at the Stillmore home where LaCorey was found.
LaMarkius faces charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was booked into the Emanuel County Jail.
