Author Fest

The Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library, located at 610 Jackson Street in Vidalia, will celebrate the beginning of Black History Month this weekend, as they host an African American Author Fest, featuring appearances by several authors, story time, and prizes. This event is free to the public, and will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 7. For more information, call (912) 537-9283.

The Altama Museum of Art and History, located at 611 Jackson Street, will officially open their new Black History Show from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on February 7. For more information, call (912) 537-1911.

“Spay”ghetti

Dinner

Tickets are currently on sale for the 18th annual “Spay”ghetti Dinner. Tickets for the dinner are $15 each, and may be purchased at Altamaha Animal Clinic, Kilgore Animal Hospital, and Vidalia Veterinary Clinic. Dinners may be picked up through the drive through at the Vidalia Community Center, located at 100 Vidalia Sweet Onion Drive, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24.
