Quotes for our Times:
Jeff Charles, journalist and News Editor for Townhall.com: Guess how many Afghan 'national security' risks Biden allowed into the country.
Over 5,000 Afghan nationals who were flagged for “national security” issues were allowed into the country under the Biden administration.
This revelation comes after an Afghan national named Rahmanullah Lankanwal allegedly shot two National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., killing one and leaving the other in critical condition.
The findings about Afghan nationals were the result of President Donald Trump ordering a review of security and vetting procedures for migrants from 19 “high-risk” countries for asylum cases processed under the Biden administration.
The inspector general found that DHS “encountered obstacles to screen, vet and inspect all evacuees,” according to The New York Post. The report noted that 55 individuals on a terror watch list were able to enter the country by May 2023. Two of these people were charged for their connection to an ISIS-inspired plot to disrupt the 2024 elections in Oklahoma City.
Kurt Schlichter, conservative commentator and author: The democrat/regime media plot against Pete Hegseth is a joke.
We’re hearing a lot of stupid people scream a lot about war crimes and murder, and all that. This is part of the plan – hysterical shrieking, a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. The Democrats are promising that if they take the House, they’ll launch a bunch of investigations. That should be a lot of fun when Trump administration officials refuse to testify or otherwise participate in these festivals of onanism and toss the crumpled-up subse- quent criminal referrals to the Department of Justice into the Eric Holder Memorial Circular File. You know, just like the Democrats did to us. That’s the big problem with deciding that you don’t feel like conducting business as usual; you’re going to find that the people you want to conduct business as usual against are going to do the same to you.
Republican Rick Scott, U.S. Senator representing Florida and a former Florida governor: I grew up in public housing and I know how to fix Obamacare.
When we stop funneling tax dollars for subsidies to insurance companies and instead provide families safety-net support through a Trump Health Freedom Account — an HSA-style account — we put the power of decision-making into the hands of families to choose a plan that best fits their needs. Americans will always make a better choice for their families than the government will.
And then we add transparency to healthcare by requiring public reporting of negotiated rates, costs, and cash prices for services provided at hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers and clinical labs. Families will have upfront pricing on what things will cost them — a healthcare menu — so they can make informed decisions and plan for their needs.
