The Brewton-Parker Christian University Lady Barons wrestling team competed at the Liberty Duals on November 15. The Barons faced off against six teams and went 5-1 on the day. The Barons kicked off the day by taking on Montreat College, followed by Southern Virginia University, Liberty University, Greensboro College, Randolph College, and finally the Apprentice School.

The only loss of the day came from Montreat College as the Barons fell 36-12. Following the first match, the Barons rallied and went on to win their remaining five duals of the day. They took down Southern Virginia University 30-20. Beat Liberty University 29-15, Greensboro College 2618. Randolph College provided them with their closest match, but the Barons prevailed 28-20, and they went on to defeat the Apprentice School 25-14.

Head Coach Josh Sturgill shared his thoughts on the team's performance. “Our ladies did a great job competing hard all day. We woke up late in the morning, but they really started to open up and commit to their attacks, which is where we found more success throughout the day. I’m very proud of how they handled themselves today, and we are all excited about the rest of the season!”

The Barons will continue their season on December 6, 2025, in Mount Olive, N.C., at the Women’s Trojans Duals. They will look to carry the momentum and lessons from this last dual into the next one and continue their winning streak.
