It was a big week for the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons men's basketball team as they upset the #10 ranked Dalton State Roadrunners on the road. BPCU, though, then coming off that high, fell to Life University in their following game. vs. Dalton State

In a thrilling conference matchup on November 20, 2025. The Brewton- Parker Christian University Barons stunned the #10 Dalton State College Roadrunners in Dalton, Ga.. The Barons controlled the game in both halves and extended their undefeated streak to 6-0 and 1-0 in conference with a 74-71 win over the Roadrunners.

The Barons managed to rally back from an early deficit that saw the Roadrunners grab a quick 8-1 lead in the first half. Despite the early struggle, the Barons rallied and closed out the first half, taking a 40-35 lead. The Barons' victory was another strong team effort, with four players hitting double digits on the box score. Tommy Tisdale III and Jaden Hill each dropped17 points, leading the team in scori ng. Jayden Hill contributed on both sides of the floor, grabbing 10 boards and two steals. Jakobe Jones came through once again, contributing 12 points off the bench and leading the team in steals with four.

The Roadrunners managed to tie the game in the second half at 53, but the Barons' strong play at both sides of the floor allowed them to retake the lead and not give it up again. The Roadrunners managed to cut the lead late to 3 and bring the game down to the wire, but clutch free throws from Abraham Garjah sealed the game for the Barons.

Following the upset, Head Coach Leonard Epps shared his thoughts on his team's performance. “Any t i m e you get a road win is big… I really feel like our group has taken that next step and love how we are playing right now… We like to hand our hats on being a defensive team, and we need to stick with that.” vs. Life

In a challenging road game, the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons lost their first game of the season to the Running Eagles of Life University in Marietta, Ga.. The Barons' loss drops them to 6-1 and 1-1 on the year.

The Baorns battled back and forth with the Running Eagles and went into the half trailing 3039. The second half saw the Barons battle back and bring the game down to the wire, outscoring the Running Eagles 40-37 in the second half. The Barons, with another group effort led by Tommy J Tisdale III, scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out two assists. Late in the second half, the Barons cut the lead to just one with 34 seconds left, but the Running Eagles hit multiple free throws to seal the game.

Head Coach Leonard Epps reflected on his team's performance following the game. “Our guys fought hard today and never quit. Really excited to see how we respond from this going forward the rest of the way.”

The Barons are set to take on Spartanburg Methodist College on November 29, 2025. The Barons look to get back in the win column and keep their great season rolling.
