The Toombs County High School Redcoat Marching Band has wrapped up a highly successful competitive season, bringing home an impressive collection of awards from three major marching contests across Southeast Georgia. Performing alongside larger programs from Class A through AAAAA, the Redcoats consistently earned top ratings and placement recognition, showcasing exceptional musical skill, discipline, and school pride.

The season began on September 28 at the Southeast Bulloch Band Blast, where the Redcoats earned straight Superior ratings in every category. The band received Superior Overall Band, Superior Drum Major, Superior Percussion, and Superior Auxiliary, marking a strong start for the musicians and leadership team.

On October 18, the band traveled to South Effingham High School for the Marching Mustang Invitational and once again swept Superior ratings in every division: Superior Overall Band, Superior Percussion, Superior Drum Major, and Superior Auxiliary. Competing against bands from Class A to AAAAA, Toombs County placed 8th Overall, a remarkable achievement for a 2A school performing beside much larger programs. Within Class AA, the Redcoats earned 1st Place Drum Major, 1st Place Auxiliary, and 2nd Place Band.

The season concluded on November 1 at the Wayne County Deep South Classic, which featured 19 bands, including many from larger classifications. The Redcoats finished 4th in Class A – AAA and 9th overall. Awards included Superior Band, Superior Drum Major, Superior Auxiliary, Superior Majorette, and Excellent Percussion. Class AA trophies included 3rd Place Band, 1st Place Majorette, and 3rd Place Overall Majorettes in the entire competition. The band also increased its overall score by more than two points from the previous event, demonstrating measurable growth in performance quality.

Head Band Director Noah Bullard praised the dedication of the students and the leadership team. 'I am incredibly proud of our student leadership team for their hard work and dedication this season. We are grateful to every member of the Redcoat Band for sharing their talent with our program,' he emphasized.

The Redcoat Band will continue to help cheer on the Toombs County Bulldogs throughout the remainder of the football season, and will continue to share their talent throughout community events.
