Telfair/Wheeler Retired Educators Day Recognized

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, Wheeler County Board of Commissioners Chairman Keith McNeal, and Telfair/Wheeler Retired Educators Association President Joyce Allen signed a proclamation to declare November 2, 2025, as Retired Educators Day.

This day is designated to honor the more than 145,000 retired educators in Georgia. More than 34,000 of these retirees participate in Georgia Retired Educators Association. Retired educators continue to bolster their communities through volunteer service and financial support of countless endeavors and individuals.
