Make Plans For A Good Time Under The Pines

It’s that time of year again. Time to mark your calendars for the first weekend in November and make plans to gather under the pines at Iva Park in Soperton for the 2025 Million Pines Arts and Crafts Festival.

This annual two-day festival will provide family fun for all ages. You can expect to find continued from page

good food and entertainment, as well as a wide selection of vendors to shop and browse. Admission is five dollars for adults and children under five are admitted free. The festival is pet friendly.

The Million Pines Arts and Crafts Festival came to be over fifty years ago largely because of the efforts of Mary and Jack Pournelle, both civic minded Soperton citizens who personally enjoyed attending festivals and felt having an event in Soperton would be good for the community and a great way to help put Soperton on the map. The Pournelles presented the idea to fellow citizens and local leaders who could also see the benefits of such an event and thus the Million Pines Arts and Crafts Festival was created. Since its very first year in 1973, The Million Pine Arts and Crafts Festival has become known statewide and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Looking to the 2025 Festival, Committee President Joey Pullen stated, “I’m very excited about the 51st festival this year. We didn’t get to have one last year because Hurricane Helene came through and rearranged our landscape! We have worked very hard to get things back in order for this year’s festival and hope that everyone will come and not only enjoy our awesome vendors but enjoy fellowship with each other as well.'

'We have over 100 vendors coming with so many different things that I think everyone will find something they love. We invite everyone to come enjoy some music, loads of crafts, and lots of good food. It’s a two day event so if you can’t come one day, come the next day. We look forward to seeing you,' Pullen continued.
