Sharpe’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Lyons, will clelbrate Homecoming on Sunday, October 19, at 11:00 a.m. The speaker will be former pastor Rev. Carrol Gay. A covered dish lunch will be served in the fellowship room after the service.

Snowhill Community Church, Glenwood, will host a gospel sing on Saturday, October 25, at 7:oo pm. Jennifer McGhee Warren from McRae will be the featured singer. Everyone is invited to attend.

Health Fair

Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 1855 Sawmill Rd., Ailey, will have a Breast Cancer Awareness and Health Fair on October 18, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will be vendors on hand for wellness checks, flu shots, questions about Medicare and Medicaid, sickle cell, along with door prizes and refreshments. Everyone is invited to attend.

Day of Play

Altamaha Down Syndrome Society will host a Day of Play event to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, at Ryals Clubhouse, 1449 Hatch Parkway, North, Baxley. The event is free and all families of children with special needs are welcome.
