To have created as many chances as we did and not take them is a shame for the people who came to watch us play. We're too good a team not to be more entertaining. We apologize to all of those who came out,' The Barons struggled to reach their coach's expectations and will look to regroup before their next game. vs. Thomas

In a tightly contested conference game held on September 27, in Mount Vernon, Ga., the Brewton-Parker Christian University Barons faced a tough matchup against Thomas University (Ga.) Night Hawks, ending in a narrow 1-0 loss for the Barons.

The game was an opportunity for the Barons to turn their conference record around, but sadly, they fell short. The first half saw several attempts from both sides, but it was Ethan Moore from Thomas University who broke the deadlock. Assisted by Aaron Sindhar, Moore scored the game's only goal, giving them a 1-0 lead that they took into the half. Despite numerous efforts in the second half, the Barons were unable to find the net, leaving the score unchanged till the end. Diego Alejandro Montes Carrera, the goalie for Brewton-Parker, showed commendable skill, making several crucial saves.

Head Coach Bob Nuemann shared his thoughts on the team's performance, 'I'm really proud of the boys who battled through adversity tonight. We, unfortunately, picked up injuries to some key players on Thursday night, and it was really great to see the younger players step up and execute well despite the result. It bodes well for our future performances.'

As the Barons analyze this game, they prepare for their next encounter scheduled for October 2, against William Carey University (Miss.) at home in Mount Vernon, Ga. The current record for the Barons stands at 1-8 and 0-3 as they continue their conference campaign with their remaining schedule.
