Dot Foods Donates $36,000 Of Food To Local Pantries

Dot Foods is investing in the community around them, as they recently donated $36,000 of food to local food pantries through their Neighbor-2-Neighbor program.
Each year, Dot Foods travels throughout the region to donate truckloads of food to local organizations who help distribute those items to individuals in need. The Neighbor-2-Neighbor program was established in 2014, and serves as a cornerstone of the company’s commitment to support the communities where their employees live and work. This year, Dot Foods made donations to four local food pantries – Evergreen True Vine Church, continued from page
Southeast Georgia Communities Projects, God’s Storehouse, and Lyons Free Will Baptist Food Pantry. Dot Foods employees volunteered their time to load and unload truckloads of food at each location, as they spent time with the food pantries’ volunteers and thanked them for their work in the community.
“We are grateful for your gift and can’t thank you enough,” Southeast Georgia Communities Projects Co-Founder and Director Andrea Hinojosa emphasized to the volunteers. “Southeast Georgia Communities Projects serves so many families with this food and we make sure our constituents know the resource. Here at Southeast Georgia Communities Projects, our thanks and credits are reflected in our daily encounters with the needy community.”
The other organizations echoed this gratitude, as they stated that the donation will help them to continue to work to ensure families do not go hungry within the region.
